Inquisicion de Granada, Familiar Certificate given to Gaspar Lopez de la Palma, 1615 December 23
Extremely ornate certificate with full color and gold-leaf border illustrations naming Gaspar Lopez de la Palma a familiar of the inquisition. Contains signatures and wax seal. Certified six days later in another hand, on verso.

Inquisicion de Llerena, Various public edicts and autos de fe, circa 1697
The first document is a copy of a 1697 edict issued at Llerena, reproducing earlier edicts forbidding conflicts (verbal and in writing) among religious orders. The bulk of the collection consists of extensive notes on Llerena on various inquisition cases heard circa 1608, 1648, 1655, 1657, etc.

Inquisition trial on demonic possession, 1634-1661
An account of an inquisition trial held in the vicinity of Rome against a woman accused of being possessed by the devil, after she killed someone with a musket while cursing and behaving in an obscene manner. The defendant was condemned to death by the Holy Inquisition.

Inquisitorial trial of Atanasio de la Cruz, Indian of Copándaro, near San Luis de Potosí (Mexico), for having made a pact with the devil. The trial began in Copándaro (1798) but was later moved to the episcopal seat of Valladolid (Mexico). Multiple documents in multiple hands, with signatures of several inquisition officials. De la Cruz was absolved and released in July 1799.

Letter to the Lima inquisition from the Suprema, 1636 November 26
Registered copy (paginated 153) of a letter to the Lima inquisition from the Suprema, urging establishment of a tribunal in Buenos Aires. Receipt acknowledged in Los Reyes [Lima] 31 May 1637, six months after it was sent.

Trial of Gaspar de los Reyes, a Portuguese muleteer resident at San Luis de Potosí in Mexico, along with his mestiza companion Catelina de Parraga (de la Parra) for iconoclasm. Very extensive, with many witnesses and signatures of officials, including inquisition commissary fr. Lope Izquierdo; Gaspar de los Reyes' signature also appears. His punishment included banishment to Castile, she received two hundred lashes, and both were tortured.

Case brought against Joseph López, of the Order of St. Francis, by Pedro Alexandro Texeda, agent of the Holy Office, for a sermon given by the accused in 1766. Contains the complaint and accusation of Pedro Alexandro, with his signature. Various other related signed letters and documents in several hands, including some by fr. Joseph López. The Franciscan was vigorously defended by his Order, and the accusor was relieved of his duties.
