Content Description Four manuscript journals kept by an anonymous young man identified only as E. B. C., mainly describing canoeing trips along the Penobscot River in the Maine woods in the summers of 1901, 1902, 1905, and 1906. The volumes include daily journal entries as well as notes on expenditures, provisions, and flora and fauna.
