A note sheet included with the packet includes a list of possible identities for the pseudonyms used and a note that reads, "None of these 1903 reviews or letters is (necessarily) by GT. But this packet traces a whole long controversy in The Pilot, and includes 2 articles/letters by T."

An original of the printed letter is also included with marginalia in the hand of "Mrs. Clutton" (Kitty Clutton?) and "Strictly Confidential" in Tyrrell's hand at the top.
