Scope and Contents

The personal scrapbook of Angelina Vértiz de Barthez. Included are numerous comments from admirers, autographs, and newspaper clippings, as well as some enclosures. Materials date from her first exhibition in 1946 to 1976. Included are exhibition announcements from 1949, 1951, 1953, 1955, 1956, and 1976.

The collection consists of manuscripts, letters, articles by Chesterton, as well as articles about him, photographs, and drawings. In addition to the material described in this finding aid, the collection also includes over 2,000 books and periodicals that have been cataloged separately.

A four-volume illustrated memoir, in scrapbook form, of the World War I military service of Humphrey M. Barbour, an artillery officer in the American Army's 42nd (Rainbow) Division. In addition to a 220-page typescript memoir the volumes contain close to 1000 photographic prints, postcards, published halftones, maps, manuscript military records, and drawings relating to Barbour's service, 1917 to 1919.

Scope and Contents The Jack Pfefer Wrestling Collection comprises more than 120 cubic feet of materials accumulated by Pfefer over a 45-year promotional and managerial career in professional wrestling, 1924-1969. Abstract

A large disbound scrapbook of sports-related clippings, mostly pictorial, from The National Police Gazette, The Illustrated Police News, and The New York Illustrated News. Much of the material consists of engraved portraits of boxers of the 1880s and 1890s.

Two-volume scrapbook containing original drawings and text for In Ruhleben Camp (1915) and The Ruhleben Camp Magazine (1916-1917) compiled possibly for postwar publication. The satirical drawings and writings deal with life of British civilians interned in a German prisoner camp in Ruhleben, Germany. Two bound volumes of the published camp magazine accompany the scrapbook.
