A poster documenting the brutality of the plice against Solidarity activists in Bydgoszcz following the talks between the representatives of Solidarity and the Local National Council (WRN; Wojewodzka Rada Narodowa). The event came to be known as the Bydgoszcz provocation and was a turning point for the Solidarity movement, with the union successfully bargaining with the government to have the strikes and the violence covered by the state media, which was previously forbidden to cover protests.
