Scope and Content

Originals and photocopies of letters, documents, clippings, writings, and printed material generated by, concerning, or of interest to Dan Gentile. Topics include the Notre Dame Band, Catholic Comics, Notre Dame Class of 1948, Notre Dame Connecticut Club, Notre Dame football games, the last appearance of the Four Horsemen in 1963, the Notre Dame Religious Bulletins published during World War II, radio at ND, the Notre Dame Rugby Club, and World War II. Also included is biographical material about Gentile, grade reports he received, materials documenting his participation in the 1948 Notre Dame Commencement, and scattered letters written or received by him.
