Receipt for $600 for the second half of 1875 and first half of 1876 from the Burse of the Diocese of Cincinnati. He thanks Purcell for the reply to Chatard's letter notifying him of the blessing of the Pope. They heard with pleasure the turn things have been taking for the Church. It is the old story of the Church thriving under persecution and oppression. Bismarck is learning that lesson. Cardinal Mieceslaus Ledochowski is a neighbor at Albano. He is well and deservedly makes an impression on all. They shall sing the Te Deum one of these days. Till then they must make up their minds to take a few blows that will do them good.
