The Cardinal Prefect of Propaganda wrote that another name should be added to the list submitted from which a Coadjutor is to be appointed, since Father John Prendergast is disposed of. The Bishops of the Province unanimously agree to the proposing of Bishop William H. Elder, of Natchez. He asks that Purcell send this on to the Cardinal.
