It will please Purcell that the young lady to whom he wrote is not in any way related to the Parmentier family of Brooklyn. There is a Parmentier family but Loughlin has been informed that they are New England Protestants. Loughlin met Judge Charles P. Daly of New York who asked to be remembered to Purcell.
