He was out on his visitations when Purcell's letter regarding the Ursulines arrived. He takes the liberty of sending a letter to the Superior at Purcell's address. He has no plan to offer other than to open an academy. There are places in Chicago that need parochial schools, but he fears the previous situations and habits of the Ursulines will not qualify them for the type of living they would have to put up with. :: II-5-d A.L.S. 1p. 12mo.
