O'Hanlon has been unable to obtain testimonials from All Hallows College; he confessed that he idled away his time during his last year awaiting his departure for Australia. His career is unsatisfactory but indefinite. The bishop of Melbourne will permit O'Hanlon to leave his diocese on condition that the bishop who receives him pays the expenses of five years at All Hallows.
