Leahy is engaged in enlarging the Cathedral at Thurles and because of the bad times in Ireland and the emigration of so many people it is necessary to ask for aid from abroad. He asks Purcell to give permission to the priest sent on this mission to solicit for offerings throughout the Archdiocese, with the permission of the individual clergy. ` P.S.
