A daughter of one of the richest families of the territory took the veil. The Sistersof Loretto have now 26 members. The Christian Brothers expect to open the school in November. Tomorrow, the feast of St. Francis, they will have vespers and grand illumination, in the town, made from small piles of pine wood on the top of every house. There will be forty fires on top of the roof of the Cathedral. Their buildings are fire proof but not water-proof. :: II-4-o A.L.S. 4pp. 8vo.
