Howard, Timothy E., South Bend, Indiana to James F. Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1906 August 11

 Item — Box: CEDW 13, Folder: 19
Identifier: CEDW XI-2-i

Scope and Contents

He received the enclosed letter from Jacob P. Dunn. He doesn't suppose there is any priest at Notre Dame who understands the Potawatomi language or knows the name of the Indian Mission at Twin Lakes. When he was writing the History of Notre Dame for the Golden Jubilee he had a book containing letters of Father Petit and other writings relating to the removal of the Indiana to the west. Perhaps that book would help. Dunn has more knowledge of this history than any man alive. :: XI-2-i A.L.S. 4pp.
