He received only one blessing and indulgence of Pius the X. The portrait of Pope Pius IX was left there and found recently among some old papers. He will send the books as soon as he can. Edwards can get the address of Bishop P. Dufal's relations. from Brother Cecilicy who is at M.D. by this time. He understands about Father Edward Sorin's statue now. If their congregation must be saved surely it will be through the religious who follow Sorin's example. Father Andrew Morrissey, C.S.C. writes him that the obediences were given. Their affairs here are not in a very good situation, he begins to dispair the restoration in the Croix. :: XI-2-i A.L.S. 4pp.
