Jamet, Father A., Neuilly, France to James F. Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1905 December 08
Scope and Contents
The coming of Father Andrew Morrissey and the resolution of Father General Gilbert Francois to go and bring with him all he intended to send has detained him. He wrote Father August Goupille for a list of books wanted but he got no answer. HE had long interviews with Morrissey and Archbishop Alexander Christie. He does; not know if all the creations of Father John A. Zahm are as great a failure as the appointment of the Superior of Portland, but His Grace has doubts on the point. Father P.J. Franciscus will leave on the 20th for Canada first. He hopes that it is not too late to save the congregation. He sends by slow freight the books promised. :: XI-2-h A.L.S. 3pp.
