Scope and Contents
Clarke sends a copy of one of the papers describing the gift sent from the Bishops' Memorial Hall and presented by Archbishop Michael Augustine Corrigan to Clarke at the New York Catholic Club. Clarke was near not going that night to the club as he was unwell. Clarke will send Bishop Sylvester Rosecrans' diary. He also has a diary of Archbishop James Roosevelt Bayley, lent to him by Cardinal James Gibbons, which must be returned to Gibbons unless Clarke can induce him to have it sent to Edwards. :: XI-1-f A.L.S. 1p. 8vo.
