Clarke, Richard H., New York, New York, to James F. Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1888 March 28
Scope and Contents
On March 21, Clarke sent ten copies of the Lives of the Bishops along with the manuscript. It has been two months since Clarke has heard from Edwards. Subscriptions to the Bishops have been fair, but not enough to get the work out of Clarke's debt. A movement is on foot for presenting a set to the best pupil in each of the parochial schools, to each Catholic college, to each orphan asylum, and then to have the Provincials of each order procure a copy for each of the houses of that order. :: XI-1-f A.L.S. 1p. 8vo.
