She loves Edwards' letters much more now that she has the happiness of knowing him. When he left Washington, she made a desperate effort to restrain her tears. If she had a hone of her own, Edwards would have been an honored guest. Edwards is so good and so different from others that she begins to feel a distaste for men of the world. P.S.
