Item — Box: CEDW 3, Folder: 01
Identifier: CEDW XI-1-e
Scope and Contents
In answer to Edwards' letter he writes that every vestment in the episcopal sacristy at Vincennes belonged to Bishop (Celestine de la) Hailandiere. Bishop (Maurice) De St.Palais never bought any. There can be no difficulty in procuring souvenirs. Audran cannot get them himself. When he returned from France with the remains of Bishop Hailandiere, the present rector of the Cathedral brutally shut the door in his face.
