The Provincial Office files contain much material related to the history and development of the Province's sponsored health care corporations. This includes copies of the articles of incorporation and by-laws of the successive central corporations (except Central Management Services and Ancilla Systems, Inc. (ASI), for which there are only by-laws); board meeting minutes of the central corporations from 1968-1984; packets from the annual meetings of the central corporations from 1983-1997, auditors' reports to management for the central corporations from 1980-1990, and reports and communications from ASI to Provincial Council from 1991-1997; correspondence, background and other materials related to the activity of and search for successive CEOs of the corporations and members of the board of directors; papers related to board retreats and other board activities; legal and financial correspondence related to the corporations, the drafting of by-laws, cleansing of offices, bond issues, retirement plans, social security, the selection of auditors, financial analysis, and various corporate ventures; documents related to strategic planning from 1983-1995, including committee minutes and reports, final reports and subsequent evaluations.
