Letter. Grateful for small sum received. Betrayed by one whom he considered as a friend. On January 19 inflicted a wound which may never heal. Has never had a peaceful hour since. He would have paid account due if he thought he could not wait. "God forgive him as I forgive him." Requests Wendell to show letter to offending party. E CMC.
