Paper. Begins with birth and admission that his father did not die in the war as he was always told. The next section is on 'Familial Relationships' and then 'The mysteries of Sex.' He has a life long commitment to celibacy and pacificsm. In the section of 'The making of a Pacifist,' he tells of early exposure to war through readings such as books about the civil war. The next section entitled, '1941-42: Flashes in a Black-out,' Fred Sr. died and he still feels guilt. 'Civilian Public Service' begins with his time in camp for selected service. ~ 1-24
