Essay. Discusses the Mideast conflict between the United States and Iraq and how the theory of just war could be applied to the conflict. Throughout the essay he expresses his disdain for such a war and also for President Bush's swift move of the United States' participation in such a war not taking into consideration the drastic consequences to come of it. Gordon declares that not only is this war not a victory, but rather is is a source for national shame. Comes to the conclusion that a new theology of war is needed.
