Correspondence. Says the issue of ROTC in Catholic educational institutions has again become the subject of much discussion since the aftermath of the U.S. Bishops' 1983 pastoral letter, The Challenge of Peace: God's Promise and Our Response. However, there is a lack of information about ROTC programs in Catholic educational institutions so they have put together a questionnaire which he is enclosing to provide more information and a foundation to explore these criticisms. Says an early return of the completed questionnaire would be greatly appreciated.
