General

Essay. Hitler's Third Reich should most concern those who closed their eyes, unwilling to admit even to themselves the need to resist, because that is where most of us will be counted. "To be human is to have the power to choose, the freedom to choose, and no less important the obligation to choose." Compares Waldheim and Jaegerstaetter, the man who followed orders and played Hitler's game and went on to become the President of Austria, and the peasant who stood up for what he believed in and refused to take part and was killed as a result.
