It is in regards to a new building that is planned for central Frankfurt, and during the excavation they discovered the remnants of the 15th Century Jewish Ghetto. Among the findings was the ancient synagogue site along with ritual baths. A group was soon formed to convince the authorities that the building plans should be cancelled and the historical findings preserved as a memorial.
