Document. An article entitled: "Was this simple peasant really a modern saint?" ~ The article describes the life of Franz Jaegerstaetter. In the book, Zahn explains that no one wanted to execute Franz; at one point they begged Franz to "not force them to condemn him to death." During Gordon's research, an editor priest suggested that Franz was insane while a different priest called Franz a saint.
