Document. "Did the Church Fail?" ~ An article regarding "The Deputy." ~ Featherstone believes that "The Deputy" is not to be examined as a work of art, because it does not meet the standards of art. It should then be examined as an historical document and used to have the Catholic Church examine itself and admit the mistakes of its past, in light of Hitler's Germany.
