Says that he read his manuscript and that while he does not question the accuracy of the findings, he does question their general bearing and suggests that he should make it clear to the reader that he has chosen the instance because he is confessionally linked with it. Also adds that in the 1920s he resigned from the Fellowship of Youth for Peace because he arrived at the conclusion that Nazism could be countered only with the use of force.
