Prof. Paulus Lenz-Mendoc tried to keep up the effort but it failed and he had to escape. Other organizations he mentioned that joined the FDK include: the Union of Catholic Men, Catholic Women Union, Quickborn Movement, Youth of Great Germany, Jungborn, Cross Union. He states that the issue of absolute conscientious objection of military service had never been incorporated into the program of the FDK.
