Journal #1. Met with Nicholas Ehler who created a new type of housing arrangement in Germany. Told Gordon that he had been "vacationed" from his job shortly after the Nazis came to power. Also told of his many close calls with Nazi authorities and how he successfully dealt with them. In addition, Ehler told Gordon of his conflicts with the Catholic Church after he expressed his belief that all Catholics must be COs.
