Journal #1. Gives a recap of recent events. Went to visit Paulus Medoc in Paris: he was the last General secretary of the Stratmann group. Medoc does not believe that we should condemn all modern warfare, but rather take each war and look at it as a special case. Said that because of the nature of the war any resistance would be self-defeating. So instead, you should withhold compliance; then when you can do this no longer you should do only the absolute minimum. Medoc stated that he believed there were no pure pacifist Catholics of German authority who held their ground in WWII to the point of execution.
