Journal #1. Met with Dr. Antz, a 76-year-old man who is retired from government service. Antz said that before WWI, there was no Catholic pacifism in Germany -- there was only one German pacifist leader in Austria. Also said that after WWI, the number of pacifists began to grow and that at the beginning of the war the Catholic Church leaders remained silent and after that it was too late.
