The committee on Organization will nominate Edwards as one of the three secretaries of the Columbian Catholic Congress which is to convene Sept. 4. The secretaries are named in compliment to Georgetown, Notre Dame, and Christian Brothers' College St. Louis. Edwards' good wishes for the New Year came in good season. How steadily the circle of friends is narrowing! Edwards is now to him one of the "ancients" of Notre Dame University. Edwards recalls for him all its traditions and associations. Onahan saw by the papers that Edwards was in New York, so he was in no urgency to acknpwledge Father Corby's invitation to the celebration of Father Edward F. Sorin's C.S.C. Golden Jubilee on August 15. It will be an honor to attend. Onahan leaves for Nebraska this week to visit their colony of the Irish catholic Colonization Association. Sorin will remain a towering character in the history of the American Church.
