Jenkins has contracted to publish right here. As he is strapped by his wanderings and Mr. Noonan will publish only Hudson's? book besides his own, Jenkins sends "Miriaum" to Hudson. As the National Council will not convene until November he will let Hudson publish the remainder of "Christian Counsels" at his leisure. He writes this in a hurry before he leaves. Hudson may do as he pleases with the story. Father Matthew Russell, S.J. ? wrote him that his collection will only include personal poems and a few from friends. Therefore his commission is played out. He has a notion to present Russell a copy of Father Edmund Hill's poems so that he cannot fail to find the true ideal religious poet. The sketch of Father Henry Lemcke, Jenkins' friends admire. Jenkins intends to let Father Edmund Hill, C.P., translate the hymns to Our Lady. He has delayed the pamphlet notices of Hudson because of ill health. He does not know when he will get to read them. It has been for his and his brother's health that he has asked Hudson's prayers. He is now back at work after ten week's absence.
