Players roll dice and move pieces across a board marked to represent promotions and demotions in rank for the four United States Armed Forces: Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Corps. The player who reaches the center of the board first becomes Commander in Chief and leads the other players in the Pledge of Allegiance.
