Abstract

An ephemera collection containing reports, speeches, and commemorative materials relating to the Easter Rising of 1916 in Ireland.

Scope and Contents

A collection of paper items (posters, picture albums, magazines, and pamphlets), and other ephemera (pins, badges, etc.). While a majority of the materials are products of the Cultural Revolution (1966-1976), also included in the Collection are non-political cultural items from the Republican Period (1911-1949), and from before and after the Cultural Revolution.

Scope and Contents

This collection consists of twentieth-century ephemera relating to Latinx culture. Significant topics represented in the ephemera include migrant laborers, César Chávez, and grape boycotts; Mexican-American socio-economic conditions, education, civil rights, and employment; illegal immigration; feminism; and Latin-American and Mexican culture, including art, history, politics, and literature. Materials include pamphlets, reports, dissertations, journal articles, magazines, and newspapers.

Scope and Contents This collection documents the professional career of Irish writer Patrick McCabe. The majority of the collection consists of rough drafts of his drama, prose, and poetry, including some of his most popular works in film and literature, Breakfast on Pluto and The Butcher Boy. Scope and Contents This collection consists of the professional and personal papers of Pulitzer Prize-winning sports columnist Walter Wellesley “Red” Smith. It includes: Smith's clipped copies of his printed columns, mostly 1954-1982; newspapers and magazines with pieces by or about Smith; clipped columns of Stanley Woodward and Joe H. Palmer; manuscripts and/or proofs of several of Smith's books; an accumulation of around 125 manuscript letters preserved by Smith, including examples signed by Melvin Belli, ...

Abstract

A collection of non-book material, much of it printed ephemera, acquired with the University's purchase of the 6000-volume personal library of the American poet Robert Creeley. The collection includes printed mailings and other announcements, periodical issues, broadsides, and posters, as well as photographs, photocopied texts of various kinds, and a small manuscript component.

Scope and Contents

This collection consists of political ephemera associated with various Uruguayan political parties. Materials include documents from the Movimiento Revolucionario Nacionalista, as well as from Wilson Ferreira and Uruguayan political parties, including the Partido Nacional (Blanco) and the Partido Colorado. Materials include broadsides, posters, newspaper/magazine articles, pamphlets, manifestos, manuals, speeches, presidential decrees and electoral propaganda.

Scope and Contents This collection consists of the personal and professional papers of journalist William Pfaff. Pfaff’s professional materials include his writings from each stage of the writing process, such as research notes, drafts, proofs, and published materials.
