The collection includes over five hundred letters, two diaries, miscellaneous manuscripts, printed ephemera, and photographs. Among the letters are 120 written by Leonard Dalton Abbott to Anna Strunsky Walling, 1933-1937; 90 written between Anna and William English Walling, 1926-1935; 49 written between Anna and Rosamond Walling Tirana, 1931-1936; and 54 written between William English Walling and Rosamond, 1932-1935. In addition to family letters the correspondence also includes a number of letters to Anna from notable literary and political figures, among them Gelett Burgess, Charmian London, Mary White Ovington, Ellery Sedgwich, Charles Edward Russell, Elizabeth Gladys Echlin, and Robert Ely. Also notable are two diaries of Anna Strunsky Walling (1934 and 1936).

The Anna Strunsky Walling-William English Walling correspondence (folders 22 to 35) includes 90 items. The majority of the letters were written by Anna to English from 1926 to 1935. Anna's letters are largely personal and social in content. Of the 10 letters written by English to Anna, all express some concern over the family's financial situation.

Includes a letter from English summarizing the family's dire financial situation: "...radically reduced income will scarcely allow [Anna] more than $150.00."

The Anna Strunsky Walling-Rosamond Walling Tirana correspondence (folders 36 to 45) includes 49 items, the greater number of which are from Rosamond to her mother. Dates range from 1931 to 1936. Rosamond's lengthy contain mostly personal and social news.

In a letter of 28 September Rosamond explains her feelings on abortion, which she endorses.
