Mary Price writes with news that her brother, Ambrose, has died: "he was killed at Silver Creek North Carolina while in a Scrimmag and while in the act of running from one tree to another he was shot through the heart[.]" She writes that Ambrose was killed on 14 March, his nineteenth birthday.
