Scope and Contents

A letter written partly by Archibald Jackson's father and partly by his oldest sister. Jackson's 30th North Carolina Infantry was initially attached to the District of Cape Fear, Department of North Carolina (October 1861 to June 1862); it saw little action, spending much of its time at Camp Wyatt near Wilmington.
