Contains clippings about baseball from major metropolitan daily newspapers mostly from Cincinnati, New York, and Washington, DC, and some clippings from sporting journals like the New York Clipper. The first leaf incldues a satirical cartoon from the Cincinnati Commercial of November 27, 1870, about the "Amateur Nine of the [Cincinnati] Red Stockings."
