LeRoi Jones (1934-2014), who later adopted the name Amiri Baraka, was an African-American writer of poetry, drama, fiction, essays, and music criticism. The letters in this subseries are copies; Dorn's letters to Jones are at the Charles E. Young Research Library at UCLA, and Jones's to Dorn are in the Lilly Library at IU-Bloomington.
