The Aksenov material in Oktiabr is comprised of several parts: "'IUnost' Balzakovskogo Vozrasta" was first published in 1985 in issue 10 of Strelets and "Vospominaniia pod gitaru" was first published in the same serial in 1987 in issue 12. The last part, 15 letters from E. Ginzburg and from P. Aksenov to Vasilii Aksenov, written between 1953 to 1957, were published in Oktiabr for the first time.
