Scope and Content
A journal documenting the 1867 Davy Wagon Train trip from St. Cloud, Minnesota, to Helena, Montana Territory; including lists of expenses and work done; a promissory note dated 24 June 1867; two letters, one from "Sam", the other from Julian and Mary Rand, both dated 21 February 1867; a Receipt for Special Tax for a retail liquor dealer in Helena (1 July 1868); and a letter from Olive Rand (28 July 1868).
At the beginning of the reel is a letter from Fr. William Sherman to Francis P. Clark (27 September 1971) describing the journal.
