Background

Starting in 1937, Eugene Guth served as Research Professor of Physics and director of the High Polymer Physics Laboratory at the University of Notre Dame. Before he came to America, Dr Guth received his doctorate in 1928 at the University of Vienna and then lectured there on theoretical physics. He also did research at the Institute of Technology in Zurich and at the University of Leipzig.
