Correspondence: neearly all letters in this book are to Mother Superiors at Nazareth, including Sr. Marie Menard, Sr. Mary Ida Brophy, Sr. Marietta Murphy, and others. The majority of letters are from priests, sisters and bishops. There are also letters from lay people (Prof. J.F. Edwards of Notre Dame, for example). These letters are friendly letters, letters of thanks... and sympathy, news about Nazareth, daughters attending Nazareth, etc. Letters 97-189 are to Sr. Honora Young from Fr. Russell, some written before she was a sister. Fr. Russell instructed and baptized her.
