Correspondence: most of the letters in this book are from W.S. Caldwell (New York) to Mother Columba at Nazareth. These letters deal with Caldwell's donation of the Sisters Mary and Elizabeth Hospital to the Sisters of Charity and Caldwell's health. Approximately thirteen other letters are from Mamie Caldwell (daughter of W.S. Caldwell) to Mother Columba and are mostly friendly letters. Three other letters are from Lina Caldwell (youngest daughter... of W.S. Caldwell) to Mother Columba, but except for the first letter that concerns Lina's eight birthday, the index does not say what the letters are about. Two other letters are to Mother Columba from Mrs. M.J. Andrews and Mr. Charles O'Connor and one letter from Sister Lucy Lampton concerning difficulties in opening the hospital.
