Football Game Weekend - Notre Dame vs. Michigan State (MSU) - Two students in front of St. Edward's hall, which has banners hanging on the exterior that read "Listen [illegible] friends and we'll relate the terrible fate of Michigan State. They came to hand us number three, but found themselves wrapped 'round a tree. The Fightin' Irish led by [Jerry] Groom, send the Spartans to their doom"; "Spartans will tell their sad fate; St. Ed's will yell 'We Beat State'"; "Go Irish, Smash Spartans"; "Knock 'em dead for old St. Ed." There is also a man hung in effigy with a signs that read "Obliterate State" and "They're gonna die with their boots on.", 1950/10
