Abstract

A 1928 diary, speeches, and material collected for speeches, 1909-1959. Speeches concern immigrant beet laborers, education, orchard heating, child labor, and the dangers of communism. Also included are notes on index cards and in a notebook prepared and used by Mahony in writing his speeches. Other material used in the preparation of his speeches are clippings and legislation, relating for the most part to immigrant sugar beet labor.
